Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Secretary of Champasak Provincial Party Committee Sansang Sipha Phommachan emphasized the significance and importance of teaching and learning Lao and Vietnamese languages in contributing to and fostering the special traditional relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

The course lasts 9 months, and students are supported by the Provincial Organizing Committee for all related expenses. In addition to class time, students can participate in extracurricular activities and exchange on holidays.
It is known that in the past time, the Lao Language Center of Champasak province has taught more than 300 Vietnamese students and the Vietnamese Language Center of Champasak province has taught Vietnamese to about 600 Lao students.
Previously, in April 2025, Quang Nam Provincial Police coordinated with Quang Nam University to organize the closing ceremony of the Lao language training course for leaders and commanders of police units under the Provincial Police.
The training course provides basic Lao language certification for 32 leaders and commanders of the Police units under the Provincial Police with a total program of 340 periods. Class time is 3 sessions/week, 4 periods/session, and after-hours classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. In addition to specialized and experienced lecturers, Quang Nam University has invited lecturers from Champasack University, Laos to participate in teaching, thereby contributing to improving Lao language practice skills for students participating in the training course.
