The People's Public Security Monument "For a peaceful life" has a symbolic meaning and profound humanistic value about the great contributions of the People's Public Security force in the cause of national liberation, construction and protection of the Fatherland. This is also a unique and typical cultural and architectural work, enhancing the value of the urban landscape, an attractive highlight for domestic and international tourists when coming to the city named after Uncle Ho. The monument is also a place to organize community activities of the people, contributing to the widespread propaganda andeducation to cadres, soldiers and people nationwide about the glorious revolutionary tradition of the People's Public Security force.
Located in Au Lac Park, the project was completed after more than 2 years of construction, with a 4.1m high statue cluster, including the image of a Vietnamese Mother, a child and 5 police officers, representing the blocks of the People's Police force. Through the language of sculpture, the project depicts the image of the People's Police force as solemn and close, playing a noble role and duty in the cause of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety.
