On the morning of November 17, General Secretary To Lam and the Central Working Delegation attended the National Great Unity Day in Mui Hamlet, Dat Mui Commune, Ngoc Hien District, Ca Mau Province.

Also attending the festival were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Do Van Chien, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee Office; Party Central Committee members, leaders of central ministries, departments, branches, the Office of the General Secretary and local leaders.

At the Festival, delegates, cadres and people of Dat Mui commune reviewed the 94-year tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; listened to reports on the situation of the great national unity bloc and the results of implementing campaigns and patriotic emulation movements in 2024 in the locality.

Ca Mau Cape is the land of heroic people, who stood at the forefront of the wind and waves to protect the country and expand the territory. This place bears the heroic mark of many generations of ancestors, who "carried swords to open the country", conquered nature and wild animals, shed blood and sweat to create the beautiful land today.

In addition to the extraordinary strength of the people, the spirit of Great Unity is the factor that crystallizes the achievements. There have been many changes here. 97% of inter-commune and inter-hamlet traffic routes are asphalted or concreted to meet technical standards; 100% of people have access to clean water and safe electricity; the poverty rate has decreased to 1.44% (8 households left); over 98% of households meet cultural standards; all children of school age go to school; all people participate in health insurance...

People's lives have improved both materially and spiritually; many patriotic emulation movements and campaigns have become increasingly effective and practical; people and the government have become increasingly close and supportive of each other in life and in carrying out local socio-economic development tasks. Party cells and the Front's Working Committee have coordinated with hamlet chiefs and socio-political organizations to do a good job of propaganda, promoting the great national unity bloc, and competing together to build increasingly spacious and beautiful new rural areas.

Speaking at the Festival, General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the initiative, efforts, and achievements of the Party Committee, government, and people of Mui Hamlet, Dat Mui Commune, Ngoc Hien District in the past time; commended the efforts and enthusiasm of the staff of the Front at all levels of Ca Mau Province, especially the Front Working Committee, who were dedicated and responsible, making the success and spreading the meaning of the Great Solidarity Festival in residential areas.

The General Secretary requested that Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations of Ca Mau province in general, and Mui hamlet and Dat Mui commune in particular, truly unite and uphold the fine traditions and achievements gained in the past time, build developed residential communities, the lives of all people and all households are increasingly prosperous, happy, and peaceful; be determined to successfully implement the targets and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, compete to achieve achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels and the 14th National Party Congress. The tasks and goals set out need to be implemented strongly and resolutely right now in the spirit of being ready to enter the era of the country's development and prosperity.

The General Secretary emphasized that it is necessary to promote the role of ownership and the spirit of self-management of each citizen to build united, prosperous and happy residential areas, aiming to maximize the strength of solidarity, creativity and voluntary spirit of the residential community. Each individual in the community must self-manage to maintain security and order and develop the economy, support each other in life and in production in the spirit of "Sharing the sweet and the bitter", "Helping each other in times of need", improving life together; self-managing to protect the environment together and participate in protecting border sovereignty, sea and island sovereignty.

Grassroots cadres must well implement the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit" with the spirit of promoting exemplary behavior, being close to the people, regularly grasping the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people; overcoming the manifestation of being close to the people but not understanding their thoughts and aspirations.

The local Party Committee and government have well organized patriotic emulation movements, well implemented social policies and programs, social security, and sustainable poverty reduction; paid special attention to those with meritorious services, vulnerable groups, and people in coastal and island areas and particularly difficult areas in the province, focusing on helping poor households escape poverty early and become well-off and rich.

To make this day truly a happy day for the community, the General Secretary requested that leaders at all levels of Ca Mau province pay attention to organizing the National Great Unity Day for residential areas, thereby encouraging and motivating the patriotic spirit among all classes of people, consolidating village and neighborhood sentiment, promoting the strength of the community and having many positive activities in the political, cultural and social life of each locality. Party committees, authorities, and Fatherland Fronts at all levels of Ca Mau province must strongly innovate their thinking, promote intelligence, arouse the strength of the entire people, focus on organizing and implementing well the remaining tasks of 2024 and the entire 2020-2025 term, contributing with the whole country to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, successfully organize Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards successfully organizing the 14th National Party Congress and realizing the Party's greatest goal that all people are prosperous, happy and live in a peaceful and developed environment.

Generations of descendants of our ancestors have continuously studied and followed the spirit and will of our ancestors in the task of building, protecting and developing the country, for the prosperous and happy life of the people.

The Party, government and people of Ca Mau in general and the Cape in particular are always proud to have inherited, preserved and developed the precious heritage left by their ancestors, including the blessing, support, protection and shelter of the National Father - the one who led his children to the sea to open up Vietnam since ancient times. Also in the morning, General Secretary To Lam and the Central Working Delegation offered flowers at the Mother Statue; visited the Hanoi Flag Tower, an architectural work bearing a strong cultural and historical mark and signifying the nation's territorial sovereignty, national sovereignty over seas and islands, uniting the North and South as one family , and the deep, close affection of the people of the Capital for their homeland, the Cape.

General Secretary To Lam listened to a report on the landslide situation and coastal landslide remediation work in Ca Mau province. Appreciating the province's efforts with the support of the Central Government, the General Secretary emphasized that landslide remediation, sea level rise prevention and climate change response are very important tasks that need to be carried out urgently, including calculating appropriate, effective and cost-saving technologies.

The General Secretary suggested that local authorities should pay attention to investing in land reclamation and land reclamation, creating new development space, serving tourism development and seaport services, contributing to the development of the province and the country.
