Russian President Putin congratulates President To Lam

(Dan Tri) - On the occasion of General To Lam being elected President of Vietnam by the 15th National Assembly , leaders of Russia, Brunei, UAE, Palestine, and Sri Lanka sent congratulatory messages and letters.
According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Russian President Vladimir Putin sent his sincere congratulations to President To Lam on this occasion. Emphasizing that the Vietnam-Russia relationship is developing dynamically in the spirit of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, President Putin expressed his hope that in his new position, President To Lam will continue to promote constructive bilateral cooperation in all fields, for the benefit of the two peoples, to strengthen security and stability in the Asia- Pacific region.

Also sending his congratulations to President To Lam, Brunei Darussalam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah affirmed that Brunei and Vietnam will continue to maintain long-term friendship and cooperation. He expressed his desire to strengthen and further deepen this valuable relationship, both bilaterally and as close partners in ASEAN. On the same day, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; President of the State of Palestine , Chairman of the Central Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Mahmoud Abbas; Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Dinesh Gunawardena, sent congratulatory messages to President To Lam .

On the occasion of Mr. To Lam being elected as President by the 15th National Assembly and Mr. Tran Thanh Man being elected as Chairman of the National Assembly, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh and Chairman of the Mongolian National Assembly Gombojav Zandanshatar sent congratulatory letters. In the congratulatory letters, the Mongolian leaders affirmed the long-standing traditional friendship between Mongolia and Vietnam, expressing their belief that under the leadership of President To Lam and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, Vietnam will become increasingly prosperous and the Vietnamese people will become increasingly happy. Along with that, the Mongolian leaders affirmed their readiness to cooperate closely with Vietnamese leaders to consolidate bilateral relations, continue to strengthen the traditional friendship in all fields, in accordance with the interests of the people of the two countries. The Mongolian leaders also respectfully invited President To Lam and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to visit Mongolia, to bring the bilateral relationship to a new height on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Mongolia diplomatic relations in 2024.
