Toni Kroos announces retirement

Midfielder Toni Kroos announced that he will retire after EURO 2024. Before entering the tournament with the German national team, the 34-year-old star will play with Real Madrid in the European Cup final against Dortmund at 02:00 on the morning of June 2.

“My football career will end this summer after the EURO 2024 finals. As I have always said: Real Madrid is and will be my last club” – Toni Kroos shared on his personal page.

The German player affirmed his determination to win the European Cup 1 in his farewell match with Real Madrid, thereby ending 10 years of brilliant success at the Bernabeu.

“I am happy and proud to have found the right time to retire. My ambition is to end my career at the peak of my performance. Now, I only focus on one thought: to win the 15th European Cup in Real Madrid's history” – Toni Kroos expressed.

Regardless of the outcome of the Champions League and EURO 2024 finals, Toni Kroos will end his career as one of the most successful midfielders in football history.
