The new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV is currently being discounted by 50-80 million VND at Vietnamese dealers. This is considered a rather surprising development because just a few months ago, the Japanese SUV made many people spend hundreds of millions of "plus peanuts" to get the car early. Specifically, in the period from December 2024 to March 2025, some sales staff at authorized dealers revealed that customers had to accept additional costs of 300 to 500 million VND to be able to receive the car.

However, the situation has completely changed since the second quarter of 2025. Instead of being "out of stock", the LC250 is also supported with many attractive incentive programs from the seller. A survey at some authorized Toyota dealers in Hanoi shows that car buyers at the present time will be given a one-year body insurance package worth about 35 million VND.

At private dealers, the support level is much more attractive with direct cash discount programs from 50 to 80 million VND, depending on the unit. Thereby, the actual price of Toyota Land Cruiser Prado has decreased from 3.48 billion VND to only fluctuate between 3.40-3.43 billion VND. Notably, the cars offered for sale are all in brand new condition, unused, mainly in two popular colors: black and white, but the quantity is not too much.

Explaining this change, experts in the auto business said that since the end of the second quarter of 2025 until now, consumer purchasing power for Land Cruiser Prado has tended to cool down compared to the peak in late 2024 and early 2025. This is clearly reflected in official statistics.

Data from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) has recorded a slight decline in Land Cruiser Prado sales last month. Specifically, after achieving the best results in March and April 2025 with sales of 80 and 76 vehicles, Prado sales decreased significantly in the three months of July, August, and September, reaching only 53, 57, and 56 vehicles. In total, in the first nine months of 2025, the total number of vehicles sold nationwide reached 481 units.
