Ha Long City welcomes more than 6.8 million tourists

According to information from the People's Committee of Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, in 2023, the locality aims to welcome 8.5 million visitors, with revenue from tourism services reaching VND 18,700 billion or more.

With many efforts and endeavors, including the effective implementation of the Ha Long City Tourism Development Project to 2025, with a vision to 2030, in 9 months, Ha Long City welcomed more than 6.8 million domestic and international tourists, an increase of 16% over the same period in 2022. Total revenue from tourism reached 15,096 billion VND, an increase of 27% over the same period in 2022.

Among the famous tourist destinations in Ha Long City, Ha Long Bay is the top tourist destination with a total of more than 2 million visitors in the past 9 months. Of which, nearly 400,000 stayed overnight in Ha Long Bay.

The event of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago being officially recognized by UNESCO as a world natural heritage is expected to create more attraction for tourism in Ha Long City in the last months of the year, thereby helping the locality exceed the target set for 2023 .
