Hai Phong City and FPT Corporation cooperate in comprehensive digital transformation

Hai Phong City and FPT Group signed a cooperation agreement

According to the agreement, FPT will coordinate with the People's Committee of Hai Phong City to develop a synchronous and modern digital infrastructure and digital platform, research and invest in building a modern, international-standard Data Center to provide cloud computing services for agencies, organizations and businesses in Hai Phong City and the region; or research a plan to build a High Performance Computing Center (HPC) to serve large problems, especially the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), to meet the city's increasing demand for data storage and processing.

FPT Corporation cooperates to develop optimal solutions and roadmaps to move information systems to the cloud computing platform (Cloud Computing) according to the Action Plan of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW, in order to optimize investment and operating costs, increase flexibility and security.

FPT focuses resources to coordinate with Hai Phong City People's Committee and departments and branches to develop digital economy and support enterprises in digital transformation, develop science and technology ecosystem and innovation, develop high-tech industrial parks and related functional areas, develop high-quality human resources, develop digital data, build digital government and perfect institutions in the spirit of Resolution No. 57, Resolution No. 03, Resolution No. 71.

FPT General Director Nguyen Van Khoa said that recently, FPT and Hai Phong City have piloted Project 06, implementing digital transformation in many items such as: Piloting AI Camera to control entry/exit at tourist areas; Centralized online exams via the electronic chip-based Citizen Identification Card (CCCD) authentication technology platform with the Hai Phong Department of Education and Training; Supporting digital transformation for more than 800 businesses)... The implemented solutions have met the requirements, bringing many practical benefits to management agencies, people and businesses in the area.
