Ho Chi Minh City has disbursed 49.9% of public investment capital in 9 months.

As of October 1, the total disbursed investment capital from the State budget of Ho Chi Minh City was VND59,655 billion, reaching 49.9% of the capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister.

Ho Chi Minh City Statistics show that the City is continuing to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital, focusing on key projects on transport infrastructure, urban beautification, healthcare and education, contributing to promoting socio -economic development.

The results of public investment disbursement in September have improved compared to the previous month, but need to be accelerated to complete the annual plan and improve the efficiency of budget capital use.

As of October 1, the total disbursed investment capital from the State budget was VND 59,655 billion, reaching 39.3% of the capital plan allocated by the City People's Committee and 49.9% of the capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister .

In the last 3 months of the year, Ho Chi Minh City needs to boost public investment, focusing on disbursement of key infrastructure projects. Review and thoroughly handle difficulties, obstacles and bottlenecks in the implementation process; at the same time, continue to strengthen inspection and supervision work, ensuring the progress and quality of projects.

Providing more information on the implementation status of some key projects, Ho Chi Minh City Statistics said that the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway project (Phase 1) has started mine clearance and infrastructure relocation. Construction is expected to start in October 2025, the main route will start in March 2026 and be completed by the end of 2027.

The construction progress of the Tham Luong - Ben Cat - Nuoc Len canal infrastructure and renovation project has reached about 70%, some sections of nearly 15 km long have been technically opened to traffic, reaching 23% of the total length.

The project to dredge and improve the environment of the North bank of Doi Canal includes 3 construction packages, the design has been completed, and contractors are being selected; construction package 2 (Hiep An 2 bridge) has started, the remaining 2 packages will start in October 2025.

Metro Line 2 Project (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong) is completing procedures, the project continues to be completed and is expected to hand over clean land to start construction of the main items in December 2025.

The Ring Road 3 project is in the peak construction phase, the component projects have completed 100% of the site handover work and are accelerating construction work. It is expected that 24.1 km of the expressway will be opened to traffic and 41.4 km of the expressway will be opened to technical traffic in December 2025 and the entire project will be opened to traffic by June 30, 2026.

Component Project 5 - Ring Road 3 (including 4 construction packages) is expected to complete packages XL-02 and XL-04 in 2025, and packages XL-01 and XL-03 in 2026.

Component project 3 - Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway (Phase 1) main route has been basically completed, 9/11 bridges have been completed, the remaining 2 bridges continue to be deployed and the entire route is expected to be open to traffic in December 2025.

The Long Son - Cai Mep Road Project has reached about 55% of construction progress, of which the road and bridge sections have reached 70%. The entire route is expected to be completed before December 30.
