The tournament is organized by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with the Consulate General of Hungary in the city and is supported by the World Teqball Federation (FITEQ) in terms of expertise and management. The tournament takes place from December 3 to 8 at the competition field cluster installed in Nguyen Hue walking street, Lam Son Park, Ben Bach Dang Park and Tax Trade Center in the city center.
Among the teams competing in the tournament, Brazil, Argentina, Hungary, Romania, and Spain are very strong candidates. In the Southeast Asian region, Thailand is also one of the highly rated faces. Meanwhile, host Vietnam will be the "mystery factor", promising to bring many interesting surprises.
The Vietnamese men's team consists of 5 players (1 reserve) while the host women's team has only 4 players, all of whom are under the management of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City and most of whom come from sepak takraw, sepak takraw or soccer. With a good foundation, the Vietnamese team members' ability to adapt to the new sport of Teqball is very fast. Last October, the Vietnamese team had a short training trip to Hungary, the country that gave birth to Teqball, to interact and hone their professional skills with the country's leading experts.

In the final stages of preparation for the tournament, in recent weeks, the Vietnamese Teqball team has strengthened their training program at Hoa Lu Sports Center under the guidance of coaches Le Thanh Tung and Le Quang Khang. Competing in the largest tournament on home soil, the players said they were not under any pressure, and even felt more excited and eager to enter the tournament than ever. The team will participate in all competitions at the tournament, including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. This is an extremely useful opportunity for the members of the Vietnamese team to compete and exchange experiences with international athletes, thereby improving their professional skills in a sport with great potential for development in the future.
Teqball is a sport that combines football, volleyball, sepak takraw and table tennis. The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) was founded in 2016 and currently has 122 member national federations with millions of players worldwide.
FITEQ has organized 3 World Cups (2017, 2018, 2019). This sport is aiming to participate in the Olympics, and in the near future, Teqball has reached an agreement to be named in the official competition program of the 33rd SEA Games in 2025 in Thailand.
Mr. Nguyen Nam Nhan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, affirmed that by hosting the world-class tournament for the first time, Vietnam wishes to actively contribute to promoting this new sport. Ho Chi Minh City, as the host, also aims to serve the sports enjoyment needs of the city's residents well, while creating attractive products to attract tourists for this prestigious event.
