(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the afternoon of June 25, the 22nd term of Thanh Hoa City People's Council, 2021-2026 term, held its seventh session. Comrades: Le Anh Xuan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Thanh Hoa City People's Council; Le Quang Hien, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa City People's Council chaired the session.

At the meeting, delegates listened to the leaders of the City People's Committee present a summary report on the socio -economic, defense and security situation in the first 6 months of 2025.

In the first 6 months of the year, the city's economy continued to grow, with many indicators increasing compared to the same period. Notably, budget revenue reached 3,140 billion VND, up 26% over the same period; disbursement of public investment capital from the provincial budget reached 59.42% of the plan; 854 new enterprises were established, up 27.3% over the same period; the total cleared area was 112 hectares, equal to 70.47% of the plan; 950 party members were admitted, reaching 100% of the plan assigned by the province...

Comrade Nguyen Viet Hung, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa City People's Committee presented a summary report on the socio-economic, defense and security situation in the first 6 months of 2025.

The work of reorganizing the local government apparatus at two levels was carried out urgently, seriously, and on schedule, ensuring that it is streamlined, strong, effective, and efficient in accordance with the policies of the Central Government, the province, and the direction of the City Party Committee.

Cultural and social fields have changed positively; social security is ensured, the labor and employment situation is basically stable; social security policies and regimes are fully and promptly implemented.

National defense, security, social order and safety are maintained.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Quang, Chairman of the City Fatherland Front, reported on the work of the front participating in government building and summarized voters' opinions and recommendations sent to the meeting.

At the meeting, performing its supervisory function, the City People's Council reviewed reports of the City People's Committee on the results of the implementation of the State budget revenue estimates; local budget revenue and expenditure; the implementation of the public investment plan; and the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations.

The City People's Council reviewed and commented on the report on the performance of the City People's Council, the City People's Council Committees, the People's Court, the People's Procuracy, the City Civil Judgment Enforcement Office in the first 6 months of 2025 and a number of other important reports.

During the working program, the City People's Council listened to the announcement of the City Fatherland Front Committee on the work of the front participating in government building and synthesized voters' opinions and recommendations sent to the meeting.

Delegates voted to pass three resolutions of the session.

With a spirit of concentration and democracy, after carefully studying the submissions and reports, the City People's Council delegates voted to pass 3 resolutions on: Adjusting the medium-term public investment plan of the State budget for the period 2021-2025 of the city; adjusting the public investment capital plan in 2025 of the city budget; stopping the implementation of investment policies for a number of projects that have been approved by the City People's Council and People's Committee.

Comrade Le Anh Xuan, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council delivered a closing speech at the meeting.

In his closing speech, Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Thanh Hoa City People's Council Le Anh Xuan acknowledged, highly appreciated and respectfully thanked all voters, people of the city, agencies, departments, offices and units in the political system for promoting the tradition of solidarity, sense of responsibility, contributing efforts and intelligence to the city's overall achievements in the first 6 months of 2025 as well as in recent years.

Promoting the achievements, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh Hoa City Le Anh Xuan believes that after the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, the 7 newly established wards will effectively implement the set goals and tasks, building the locality to be increasingly civilized and prosperous, contributing to the whole province and the whole country entering a new era - the era of national strength and prosperity.
