There are 41 hospitals achieving good quality or higher (average quality score above 4.0 on a scale of 5.0), accounting for 1/3 of the total number of evaluated facilities, an increase of 10.8% compared to 2022.
However, there are still 2 facilities with below average quality (average quality score below 2.5 points).
There are 2 hospitals that did not participate in the assessment: Gia Dinh General Hospital (due to less than 12 months of operation) and Transport Hospital (due to the Department of Health, Ministry of Transport, assessing hospital quality in 2023).
The assessment shows that the average score in 2023 is 3.71 points, an increase of 1.1% compared to 2022 (3.67 points).
The top 5 hospitals in the 2023 hospital quality score rankings include: 2 specialized obstetrics hospitals (Hung Vuong Hospital, Tu Du Hospital), 2 general hospitals (People's Hospital 115, Gia Dinh People's Hospital) and 1 specialized pediatric hospital (Children's Hospital 1).
8 units with an average score of 2-3 (at the bottom of the rankings) include: District 10 Medical Center, Saigon Maxillofacial Hospital, Cao Thang Eye Department, Kim Hospital Korean Cosmetic Surgery Department, AVA Van Lang Cosmetic Surgery Department, Korean - Sao Han Cosmetic Surgery Department.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, the quality of hospitals in the city has improved in all areas from 2022 to 2023. In 2023, the criteria group in the patient-oriented field achieved the highest average score, and the lowest was professional activities.
