On May 29, the Da Nang Market Management Department announced that in order to ensure a stable Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025 (DIFF 2025) season, with transparent prices and protection of consumer rights, Da Nang has proactively established an interdisciplinary inspection team. This plan includes 6 rounds of inspection and price control of key tourism and consumer services, lasting from now until July 12.
Areas under special supervision include hotel accommodation prices, inland waterway passenger transport service prices, food and beverage service prices, and parking service prices. These are services that often have a sudden increase in demand during the festival, making it easy for unreasonable price increases to occur.
The Da Nang Market Management Force will closely coordinate with functional agencies to step up inspection, supervision and handling of violations at business establishments throughout the area, especially focusing on key districts such as Son Tra, Ngu Hanh Son, Hai Chau, and main roads such as Bach Dang, Tran Phu, Hung Vuong, and Tran Hung Dao.
The head of the Da Nang City Market Management Department said that they will continuously plan inspections, especially in Hai Chau and Son Tra districts, thereby reminding establishments to have clear listed prices. In the immediate future, they will propagate and remind. Through hotline feedback, the force will deploy sudden and decisive actions.
Since the beginning of the year, the Da Nang Market Management Department has conducted 298 inspections and handled 189 administrative violations related to prohibited goods, goods of unknown origin, food safety and violations in e-commerce business.
