Notably, the ceiling price for one-way domestic airfares ranges from 1.6 to 4 million VND/ticket.
Specifically, the group under 500km (socio-economic development routes and other routes) has a maximum price of 1.6 - 1.7 million VND/ticket/way.
Flights from 500km to under 850km have a ceiling price of 2,250 million VND/ticket/way.
Flights from 850km to under 1,000km maximum 2,890 million VND/ticket/way.
Flights from 1,000km to under 1,280km maximum 3.4 million VND/ticket/way.
Flights from 1,280km or more have a maximum price of 4 million VND/ticket/way.

For children from 2 to under 12 years old, some services are only charged at 50% of the prescribed price.
The Ministry of Transport also noted that the above airfare does not include fees such as: Value Added Tax; fees collected on behalf of businesses providing passenger terminal services and security services (prices for passenger services at airports; prices for passenger and baggage security); additional service fees.
This ceiling price remains unchanged compared to Circular 34 of the Ministry of Transport supplementing a number of articles of Circular 17 adjusting the ceiling price of air tickets, effective from March 1 this year.
The new circular also stipulates the price of passenger and baggage security services. The service includes: passenger and baggage security screening; aircraft security; security for delayed and missed passengers; management and supervision of passengers denied entry for 24 hours; identification of passengers and baggage before boarding the aircraft; guarding and ensuring order at the airport.
Children from 2 to under 12 years old will only be charged 50% of the prescribed price.
In addition, the price of basic essential services at airports (excluding service costs) will be decided by the business enterprise itself but not exceed 15% of the prescribed maximum price.
