Summer is the time when everyone starts planning their trips . Some prefer to enjoy the peaceful and refreshing atmosphere of the blue seas in their homeland of Vietnam. Others want to explore "promised lands," foreign countries they've never set foot in.
Recently, The Outbox Company – a pioneering market research and travel data analytics company in Vietnam and operating across Asia – published its report “Vietnamese Tourists’ Overseas Travel Trends – Summer 2024”. The report shows that 79.7% of Vietnamese tourists plan to travel this summer.
According to The Outbox Company, domestic tourism continues to be the dominant trend in destination choices for Vietnamese tourists. Additionally, they also tend to prioritize short getaways abroad, with destinations such as South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Singapore.
As you can see, everyone's travel preferences, planning methods, and budget for trips are different. However, there's no denying the huge demand for travel every summer.
Understanding the public's needs and aiming to facilitate travel during peak periods, airlines have implemented numerous promotional ticket programs, creating convenient travel opportunities for passengers.
Since the beginning of May, airlines have been developing flight schedules, implementing numerous promotional programs and ticket discounts, and increasing the frequency of night and early morning flights.
To serve residents and tourists on routes to tourist cities such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, etc., Vietjet will provide an additional 1.4 million tickets, equivalent to an increase of approximately 35% in supply capacity. The airline will also offer a series of 0-dong tickets (excluding taxes and fees) and other low-cost tickets on all routes for travel from September to the end of this year.
Ms. Nguyen Quynh Anh ( Quang Ninh ) said that every year, her family usually takes long trips during holidays or after the children's summer vacation.
“I just checked the ticket prices and found that airlines are offering many attractive fares that suit my family's budget. I managed to buy a Hanoi – Nha Trang flight ticket from Vietjet for as low as 490,000 VND and 890,000 VND/one way. These are attractive prices for a summer vacation this year,” said Ms. Quynh Anh.
Phu Quoc Island, a very popular destination for both domestic and international tourists, is also being offered by Vietjet at many attractive prices. Mr. Than Quang Dat (Hanoi) proudly shared that he recently booked a round-trip ticket from Hanoi to Phu Quoc in mid-July for only 3.7 million VND. “This is truly a great deal for a trip to the paradise of Phu Quoc during the peak summer season. Initially, I only intended to check prices, but I was surprised by how cheap it was, so I decided to book it right away,” Mr. Dat said.
In addition, Vietjet is also offering many tickets at diverse and attractive prices, suitable for all types of passengers on flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Hue, Da Lat, Nha Trang, and Quy Nhon.
A representative from Vietjet stated: “Given the aviation industry’s aircraft shortage, increasing night flights and offering promotional fares is a significant effort by the airline. Vietjet has increased night flights by approximately 46% compared to the regular schedule, equivalent to 3,100 night flights. In the future, the airline will continue to implement many attractive ticket promotions on both domestic and international routes to meet the needs of all customer segments.”
With 168 international and domestic routes and thousands of affordable tickets offered by Vietjet, passengers can fully enjoy memorable times with family and friends this summer.
