On the morning of December 13th, Saigon Zoo announced that from the 10 million VND raised through the auction of Mika the cat's uniform, they have purchased food for over 100 stray cats living within the zoo grounds.
The zoo stated that for visitors wishing to support the "cat feeding" project, they are encouraged to send cat food or seeds to the security staff on the grounds. The zoo does not accept cash donations in this form.
Earlier, on the morning of December 7th, the Saigon Zoo organized a fan meeting titled "Mika and the Idols of Zoobiz".
The main character of the event is Mika, a stray cat who used to wander the zoo grounds and later became a social media phenomenon when she lived with the bear couple Misa and Misi, the father and son bear La and Do, and the bear Re. Mika was jokingly nicknamed "the president" by the online community due to her popularity and unique personality.

These include "princess" Noel the bear, the white tiger Milk Cow, the raccoon Princess Ears, the capybara family Prosperity - Wealth - Good Fortune - Auspiciousness, the giraffe Thao Em, and the miniature horse Milk.
At the fan meeting, the Saigon Zoo held an auction of Mika's uniform shirt. The final price reached 10 million VND, far exceeding the organizers' initial prediction.

Saigon Zoo, over 160 years old, currently cares for approximately 1,300 individuals belonging to 125 animal species, including many rare ones. The zoo grounds boast over 2,500 ancient trees and nearly 900 preserved plant species, becoming a green space and a familiar relaxation spot for locals and tourists every weekend.
Speaking to Tri Thuc - Znews , a representative from the Saigon Zoo stated that visitor numbers and revenue increased by approximately 20% in the first 11 months. In the first nine months alone, the zoo achieved cumulative revenue of nearly 122 billion VND , with 1.5 million entrance tickets sold, bringing in about 78 billion VND , excluding taxes.
This result stems from effectively utilizing experiential education activities, improving service quality, adding new products, and implementing programs that interact with animals.
Among these, educational and entertainment-based products are considered a "highlight," recording high registration rates, such as junior veterinary tours, nighttime exploration tours, and science-based experiential activities.
