Presenting health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in Kim Tan and Thach Binh communes

Responding to the Prime Minister's call in the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind", on November 24, Vietnam Social Security coordinated with Thanh Hoa Provincial Social Security and local Party committees and authorities to organize the awarding of health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in Kim Tan and Thach Binh communes.

In 2025, many businesses, organizations and philanthropists have joined the Vietnam Social Security sector to support the purchase of health insurance cards for the disadvantaged. Thanh Hoa province alone received 600 million VND in support from the program.

In Kim Tan and Thach Binh communes - localities that suffered heavy damage after natural disasters, each commune received 75 million VND in support funds to buy cards for people in difficult circumstances.

The health insurance cards awarded not only have material value, but also spread the value of sharing and the spirit of "mutual love", are a source of spiritual encouragement to help people feel secure in medical examination and treatment, timely health care, and reduce the burden of medical costs for their families.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Chu Manh Sinh, Deputy Director of Vietnam Social Security, emphasized that health is the most valuable asset of each person and health insurance is the "security shield" that helps people access health services conveniently and sustainably. The awarding of health insurance cards to the poor and people in difficult circumstances not only has profound humanitarian meaning, but also demonstrates the determination of the social security sector in implementing the social security policy of the Party and State, aiming at the goal of "leaving no one behind".

In the coming time, Vietnam Social Security will continue to strengthen humanitarian activities, expand social insurance and health insurance coverage, contributing to ensuring sustainable social security.
