Return of group of Chinese citizens tricked into illegally entering Vietnam

On June 8, Hai Duong Provincial Police said they had coordinated with other authorities to hand over seven Chinese citizens who illegally entered Vietnam to Chinese authorities.

On May 18 and 28, implementing the direction of the Board of Directors of Hai Duong Provincial Police, the Immigration Management Department of the Provincial Police coordinated with the Immigration Management Department of Lang Son Provincial Police and the Border Guard Station of Huu Nghi International Border Gate, Lang Son Province to hand over 7 Chinese citizens who illegally entered Vietnam to Chinese authorities.

Authorities return citizens who entered Vietnam illegally.

Previously, on April 23 and 29, the Immigration Department of Hai Duong Provincial Police coordinated with local police to discover two groups of Chinese citizens illegally entering Vietnam in Gia Loc district. Through working with the Chinese people who illegally entered the country, most of them believed in the introductions on social networks that they could find jobs in a third country with high salaries, so they transferred money to the subjects and were then taken through trails and openings at the border area between China and Vietnam to illegally enter Vietnam, then to the third country.

Upon arriving in Hai Duong province, these people were detected by the authorities and their records were processed for the act of "Crossing the national border without completing entry procedures" as prescribed in Point a, Clause 3, Article 18 of Decree No. 144/2021/ND-CP dated December 31, 2021 of the Government regulating the field of security, order, and social safety, and at the same time transferred the records to the Investigation Agency to strictly handle the related subjects.

Following the direction of the Hai Duong Provincial Police Department, during the process of deportation procedures according to regulations, the Immigration Department has created all conditions and provided maximum support for the best living needs for the group of Chinese citizens in both material and spiritual terms, ensuring humanity and being recognized and highly appreciated by all levels.
