Over 2.5 billion VND to support poor and near-poor households

From 2021 to present, the Fund for the Poor at all levels of Van Lam district has allocated over 2.5 billion VND to carry out support activities, helping poor households, near-poor households, people with unfortunate risks, students from poor households... Of which, supporting the construction and repair of 40 houses with a total amount of over 1.1 billion VND; giving 1,254 gifts to poor households, near-poor households and students in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 411 million VND. At the same time, carrying out other support activities with an amount of over 982 million VND.

The above activities have been implemented promptly and effectively, contributing to reducing the poverty rate of the district. By the end of 2024, the poverty rate of the district will be 0.4% (down 0.4% compared to 2023), lower than the poverty rate of the province.
