200 million VND reward for athlete who breaks record of Do Quoc Luat and Nguyen Thi Oanh

The Run To Live - Run for Life race was held for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City from March 8 to March 10, 2024 in Thu Duc City. It is expected that about 6,000 amateur and professional athletes will participate in the 5km, 10km and 21km distances. The Run for Life race was born to create more activities for the running community who regularly participate in training and competing in Ho Chi Minh City, promoting the running movement in Ho Chi Minh City as well as nationwide.

In addition to the main prize categories of the tournament, the Organizing Committee also awarded two special prizes worth 200 million VND to one male athlete and one female athlete who broke the record in the 21km half marathon distance held by male athlete Do Quoc Luat (1 hour 07 minutes 99 seconds) and female athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh (1 hour 15 minutes 24 seconds).

The athlete who broke the national half marathon record of Nguyen Thi Oanh and Do Quoc Luat at the Run for Life 2024 was awarded 200 million VND.

In addition to the purpose of creating a large-scale, high-quality sports tournament for amateur and professional athletes to compete and improve their skills, Run To Live is also considered one of the important events demonstrating responsibility to the community through the allocation to the fund to support the program "Lighting up the faith - Overcoming difficulties to go to school", supporting disabled sports athletes of Ho Chi Minh City as well as a number of other projects and funds for the community...

The main race day of the Run for Life is March 10, 2024. In addition, the organizers create interesting events and mini games to make the tournament more exciting, such as the Race Kids event (a 1km race for children to participate in and "bring gifts home to their mothers"), and distribute RaceKit to participating athletes in the 2 days before.

The representative of the organizing committee of Run To Live 2024 said that the mission of the tournament in its first time is to spread the motivation to practice and compete in running, inspire and practice a healthy and happy lifestyle.
