* In the joyful atmosphere of celebrating the glorious Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, on the morning of February 8th, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuoc commune organized a gathering of current and former leaders of the Provincial Party Committee; former leaders of the Phuoc Long District Party Committee (old); retired officials of the commune from various periods; and officials and children of Vinh Phuoc working both within and outside the locality.
Attending the meeting was Comrade Nguyen Binh Tan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Internal Affairs Department of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the glorious 96-year history of the Communist Party of Vietnam 's development and growth, while also assessing the outstanding achievements of the Party Committee, government, and people of Vinh Phuoc commune over the past year in the fields of socio-economic development, national defense and security, and political system building.
Speaking at the gathering, Comrade Tran Van Liem, Secretary of the Party Committee of Vinh Phuoc Commune, expressed his deep respect and gratitude to the leaders and former leaders of the Provincial Party Committee; former leaders of the Phuoc Long District Party Committee (old); retired officials from all periods; officials and people of Vinh Phuoc working in and outside the commune; and all cadres, Party members, and people in the commune who have actively contributed to the overall achievements of the commune's Party Committee in the past. He also hoped to continue receiving attention, support, and sharing of experiences to build a heroic Vinh Phuoc that develops rapidly, sustainably, prosperously, and civilized.
Comrade Nguyen Binh Tan, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, presented Tet gifts to poor and near-poor households, contributing to helping people in Vinh Phuoc commune have a warm and fulfilling Tet holiday.
On this occasion, Mr. Duong Thanh Trung, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and former Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province, presented a symbolic check for 200 gift packages, totaling 200 million VND, to Vinh Phuoc commune to help disadvantaged people in the area during Tet (Lunar New Year), with the motto "No one should be left behind". The gifts were donated by former Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and Mr. Duong Thanh Trung.
* On the same day, Comrade Nguyen Binh Tan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Internal Affairs Committee, presented 20 gifts to 20 poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households in Vinh Phuoc commune. Each gift was worth 1 million VND in cash, donated through the efforts of Comrade Ho Thanh Thuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, and Comrade Nguyen Binh Tan.
Comrade Tran Van Liem, Secretary of the Party Committee of Vinh Phuoc commune, presented Tet gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province to poor households, near-poor households, and households with difficult circumstances in the commune.
Also on this occasion, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Phuoc commune presented 100 Tet gifts from the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households in the commune. Each gift, worth 1 million VND, included 500,000 VND in cash, along with cakes, jams, and other necessities for Tet, helping families celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year in a warm, joyful, and cozy atmosphere.
* Also this morning, at the Long Dien Commune Party Committee hall, the Commune Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held a gathering to celebrate the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 in a joyful, warm, and affectionate atmosphere. Attending the gathering were former leaders of the District Party Committee and People's Committee (formerly), along with leaders of communes from previous periods before the merger.
Upholding the spirit of unity and innovation, last year, despite many difficulties and challenges, especially in the initial period after the merger with many new tasks, the Party Committee, government, military, and people of Long Dien commune made efforts to overcome difficulties and achieved many important results in various fields. The economy continued to develop stably; the area of aquaculture increased, with a total output of over 38,850 tons, exceeding the set target; the area of salt production was over 457 hectares, with an output of over 15,425 tons.
Comrade Nguyen Nam Quan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Long Dien commune, expressed gratitude to the veteran revolutionaries and demonstrated his determination to build and develop Long Dien commune in the new term.
Forest management, protection, and development are given priority. The commune promotes awareness campaigns to educate people about the role of forests in disaster prevention and adaptation to climate change, thereby facilitating production and farming activities, gradually improving living standards and income, and maintaining national defense and security in the area.
Retired officials and veteran revolutionaries from the provincial and commune levels across various periods attended the reunion.
In the festive atmosphere of the Lunar New Year, Comrade Nguyen Nam Quan, Secretary of the Long Dien Commune Party Committee, expressed his deep gratitude to the generations of retired leaders, officials, and veteran revolutionaries who have made significant contributions to the local development. He also listened to their heartfelt and responsible opinions, which will serve as a basis for guiding the commune's development in the new phase. The commune leaders affirmed their determination to continue upholding the tradition of unity and working together to build a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized Long Dien.
