On July 25, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan and Chairman of the Vietnam Health Trade Union Pham Thanh Binh, along with leaders of the Departments and Offices of the Ministry of Health, visited, presented gifts and expressed gratitude to the family of martyr, doctor Dang Thuy Tram on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023), expressing gratitude to the female martyr, who heroically sacrificed her youth for the independence and freedom of the country.
Coming to burn incense in memory of martyr, doctor Dang Thuy Tram and visit and wish good health to Mrs. Doan Ngoc Tram (mother of martyr Dang Thuy Tram), Minister Dao Hong Lan shared: Today's young generation is always proud and extremely grateful for the silent sacrifices of previous generations, including martyr, doctor Dang Thuy Tram. She is the image of a soldier, a doctor who selflessly rushed into the battlefield, a shining example for young doctors to learn and follow.
Minister Dao Hong Lan said that the Ministry of Health and units in the health sector always pay special attention to the care of people with meritorious services, families of war invalids and martyrs, especially in the health sector. The visit of Minister Dao Hong Lan, leaders of the Vietnam Health Trade Union and the working delegation to the family of martyr, doctor Dang Thuy Tram aims to demonstrate the spirit of "When drinking water, remember the source" of the health sector towards the noble sacrifice of previous generations, including the sacrifice of martyr, doctor Dang Thuy Tram.
Mrs. Doan Ngoc Tram is 99 years old this year, her legs are weak and she cannot walk by herself, but her mind is still sharp. She is currently living with her two daughters in a house on Doi Can Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi . Welcoming the delegation in a small room, she was very happy and always smiled, chatting intimately with Minister Dao Hong Lan and the delegation. Through the conversation, the memories of her daughter Dang Thuy Tram who fought bravely and sacrificed for the country were once again revived through the proud stories of her and the martyr's sisters.
On behalf of the family, Ms. Dang Hien Tram, the younger sister of martyr, Dr. Dang Thuy Tram, emotionally said: Although the war has been over for nearly 50 years, the Party, Government and the health sector have always paid special attention to the health of my mother and my family. My family and I are extremely grateful, respectful and send our deep thanks to the leaders of the Ministry of Health, the Vietnam Health Trade Union and the working group for taking the time to visit and encourage my mother and family on this meaningful occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day./.
