Extracting security camera data, handling car drivers who weave dangerously on the road

(HBĐT) - On June 7, information from Cao Phong District Police said that the unit had just summoned Nguyen Van K (born in 1996), residing in Bac Phong Commune (Cao Phong) to the headquarters to work on the act of driving a vehicle causing traffic safety violations.

Cao Phong District Police worked with Nguyen Van K on the act of driving a vehicle causing danger on the road.

Accordingly, on the evening of May 25, 2023, the Cao Phong District Police working group, while performing patrol duties to ensure traffic order and safety in the area, discovered a car with license plate 89A - 111.43 traveling from Cao Phong town to Hoa Binh city, violating speed regulations. The working group signaled to stop and check the vehicle. However, the driver of the car did not comply but turned around and fled. Realizing that the above behavior needed to be stopped promptly, the working group used a specialized motorbike to chase and signaled the driver to comply with the request to stop the car. The driver still did not comply, continued to accelerate, swerved and fled. Faced with the dangerous and unsafe behavior, the Traffic Police - Order Team, Cao Phong District Police did not continue to pursue but recorded images extracted from security cameras in the area and quickly looked up the vehicle. Through verification of the person and vehicle, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle was Nguyen Van K, residing in Bac Phong commune (Cao Phong).

Based on the verification results, Cao Phong District Police sent a summons to Nguyen Van K to come to the headquarters for questioning. At the meeting on the afternoon of June 6, 2023, Nguyen Van K admitted to the violation of driving a vehicle causing danger and traffic safety as recorded by the security camera system.

For the above violations, Cao Phong District Police have drawn up an administrative violation report for driving a car in a zigzag manner, not obeying the order to stop the vehicle of an officer on duty, and not having a driver's license. In addition, the police agency also drew up a report with Mr. Nguyen Van C - the vehicle owner for the act of handing over the vehicle to a person who is not qualified to drive a vehicle in traffic according to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 58 of the Road Traffic Law.
