62 years have passed since the Thousand Good Deeds emulation movement was responded to by Hoa Binh children. The movement has contributed significantly to the formation and perfection of each person's personality, creating generations of honest and brave Muong children. Following in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers, Hoa Binh children today enthusiastically compete to do thousands of good deeds, striving to become future masters of virtue and talent to build their homeland to become more and more developed and prosperous.

"Thousand good deeds" is not simply a number, the word "thousand" is not a specific number, it means a lot... Because good deeds are not something big or grand, but can be as simple as contributing a plastic bottle every day, putting 1,000 VND in the piggy bank every week... to join hands to build a "Small Plan House". That is the practical way that teachers and students of Ha Bi Primary and Secondary School (Bo town, Kim Boi district) are enthusiastically responding to the emulation movement "Thousand good deeds". Preparing to end the school year, the school's "herd of more than 30 pigs" is being focused on "fattening".

Students of Ha Bi Primary and Secondary School (Bo town, Kim Boi district) enthusiastically responded to the "Raising piggy banks" movement to help students in difficult circumstances.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ai, Head of the Team of Ha Bi Primary and Secondary School, said: The model of raising plastic pigs and saving piggy banks was implemented by the school right from the beginning of the school year, aiming to form the habit of saving as well as using money meaningfully in students. This is also a practical activity to support poor students and students in difficult circumstances in the school, educating them about compassion and sharing. Each team will "raise" at least 1 piggy bank and "feed" it every week during class meetings. Cadres, teachers, and staff feed the "pigs" at least 5,000 VND/week; students 1,000 VND/week. After nearly a year of implementation, the movement has received enthusiastic participation and response from students throughout the school. In addition to "raising" piggy banks, the school also built a small solar power project for students to collect scrap paper, plastic bottles, etc. to both keep the school clean and raise funds for meaningful activities. These good deeds, though small, contribute to forming awareness and good habits for children from an early age.

"Small Plan" is considered one of the most vibrant and widespread movements, attracting a large number of students in the province to participate. Through this activity, it has done a good job of propagating and educating children to share with their friends in difficult circumstances, adding motivation and confidence for them to excel in their studies. In the period of 2020 - 2025, actively implementing the campaign "For beloved juniors" and the movements "Small Plan", "Foster children of the Youth Union", the model "Friends helping friends" ... the whole province has built 244 red scarf houses to give to students in especially difficult circumstances. In particular, in September 2024, our country was severely affected by storm No. 3. Promoting the tradition of solidarity, mutual love, "helping each other", "sharing food and clothes", children of Hoa Binh province participated in donating and joining hands to support people and children nationwide to overcome the consequences of natural disasters with a total amount of over 500 million VND and many school supplies, clothes, and books.

"Young people do small things, according to their strength...", that is Uncle Ho's advice to Vietnamese teenagers and children. Following Uncle Ho's teachings, children in Hoa Binh province have been trying to study, practice morality, and do many good deeds. 150 thousand team members, teenagers and children in the province have been actively participating in the "Thousand Good Deeds" movement with activities such as planting trees, implementing models: "Flower garden I grow", "Green classroom", "Smart trash can", "Garbage-free school"...

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Luan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Council, said: The necessary qualities of a member of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team according to Uncle Ho's teachings are "Modesty, honesty, courage". Implementing Uncle Ho's teachings is to do good deeds every day. In the period of 2020 - 2025, 42,455 good deeds were performed by children throughout the province. To expand the flower gardens of thousands of good deeds, schools and localities have organized thematic activities: "Building beautiful friendships, saying no to school violence", "A beautiful story, a good book, a shining example every week" ... At the same time, promote the movement of reading and following the Youth Union newspaper during the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week, and team activities; Timely commend and reward children with good deeds, honesty, bravery, picking up lost items and returning them to the owner, rescuing drowning people, helping friends... Their good deeds have touched the hearts of many people, spreading a compassionate, tolerant and loving lifestyle. From there, promoting the Thousand Good Deeds emulation movement among children in Hoa Binh province to become more widespread, practical and effective.

At the end of March, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Pioneer Council organized the 10th Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress of Hoa Binh Province in 2025. 270 delegates representing 150,000 members, teenagers and children in the whole province had the honor to attend the congress. They are the most beautiful flowers in implementing Uncle Ho's 5 teachings. Among them, many are heroes of thousands of good deeds at all levels.

With love and hope for the future generations of Hoa Binh, on behalf of the provincial leaders, speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, praised the outstanding achievements of the young pioneers, teenagers and children in the province. At the same time, he emphasized the special attention of the Party, State and province to the work of protecting, caring for and educating children. The Provincial Party Committee Secretary hoped that the young pioneers and children in the province would continue to strive to study, practice and emulate Uncle Ho's 5 teachings, and be exemplary in the activities and emulation movements of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers.
