Implement solutions to improve the quality of cultural titles

DTO - In recent times, sectors, units and localities in the province have promoted the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life"; propagated and mobilized people to register for cultural titles and participate in building a cultural life in their residential areas. Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of cultural titles, especially the title of cultural family (GĐVH).

Responding to the movement to build a cultural life, people in Tan Phu hamlet, Tan Long commune, Thanh Binh district actively planted flowers to beautify rural roads to maintain the title of cultural hamlet and typical commune.

Sectors, units and localities in the province concretize the implementation of the contents of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in conjunction with the implementation of Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU dated December 31, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on building a culture and people of Dong Thap that are affectionate, dynamic and creative through building a healthy cultural environment. In particular, focusing on effectively implementing grassroots cultural activities and performing arts to serve the spiritual and cultural life of the people; implementing village and hamlet conventions, building a safe residential community free of social evils.

Many agencies, units and localities regularly carry out environmental sanitation work, respond to climate change, build "green offices", green - clean - beautiful residential areas... Building a civilized environment in agencies and units, culture of behavior, and standard working style of cadres, civil servants and public employees are given attention, contributing to ensuring professionalism and efficiency in performing public duties, meeting the needs of serving the people.

Currently, the whole province has 1 provincial library, 9 district libraries, 141 commune, ward and town reading rooms, 122 learning promotion bookcases, 31 commune post offices - cultural centers, 2 private libraries; 113/115 communes have standard community cultural - learning centers; 486/698 hamlets and villages have standard cultural houses; many gymnasiums, soccer fields, volleyball courts... serving to ensure the learning, physical training, sports, cultural and artistic activities of local people.

In addition, the movement to build cultural families, cultural hamlets and villages continues to be expanded in residential areas and receives strong attention and response from all walks of life. Notably, people actively participate in activities to maintain security and order, environmental sanitation, plant flowers, trees, build fences, flagpoles... joining hands with local authorities to maintain cultural titles. In particular, the Steering Committees of the Movement at all levels implement solutions to improve the quality of cultural titles, especially the title of cultural families. In 2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 24/2024/QD-UBND stipulating standards and guidelines for evaluating and reviewing the titles of "cultural families", "cultural hamlets and villages", "outstanding communes, wards and towns" in the province to improve the quality of reviewing and evaluating cultural titles. Thereby, the organization of the evaluation of cultural titles is carried out publicly, democratically, ensuring the order and procedures prescribed in Decision No. 24 of the Provincial People's Committee, contributing to creating a positive change in the awareness of striving to well implement the standards to achieve the title of Cultural Family among the People, gradually forming the habit of building a cultural and civilized lifestyle in the community, contributing to joining hands with the government to maintain the titles: Cultural Family, Cultural Hamlet, Hamlet, Commune, and Town.

In recent years, the number of households achieving the title of Cultural Families and the quality of cultural titles in the province have been improved. By the end of 2024, the whole province had 426,314 families recognized as Cultural Families, reaching 95.57% (an increase of 0.73% compared to 2023); 697 hamlets and villages were recognized as cultural hamlets and villages, reaching 99.86%, an increase of 0.38% compared to 2023; 141/143 communes, wards and towns achieved the title of typical communes, wards and towns, reaching 98.6%; 24/26 wards and towns achieved the standard of civilized urban areas for the first time in 2 years, reaching 92.31%.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the advisory agency for implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" of the province, in the coming time, the provincial branches, units and localities will continue to propagate the implementation of the contents of the movement in conjunction with Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee, term XI, on building culture and people of Dong Thap with affection, dynamism and creativity; Dong Thap human standards; improve the quality of cultural title evaluation activities; propagate typical models and examples in the movement at the grassroots level; train and improve the qualifications of the team doing movement work and families to improve the quality of the movement in 2025.
