Through review and statistics, Ca Mau province has more than 3,000 poor and near-poor households affected by prolonged heavy rains, combined with high tides, causing production damage, travel impacts, and loss of income. On that basis, with the agreement of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province has allocated the Provincial Relief Fund (over 3 billion VND) to support poor and near-poor households in 64 communes and wards in the province with 1 million VND for a household with production damage of 30% or more.

According to the guidance of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee: To implement support, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards report to the Party Committees, coordinate with the People's Committees at the same level to establish a survey and assessment team to determine the level of damage affecting the income of poor and near-poor households in the area.

The survey teams conduct field surveys of 100% of poor and near-poor households affected and make a list of households whose production and income are affected by 30% or more; and are responsible for the results and accuracy of the assessment. Based on the survey results, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and ward will pay support to eligible households and complete the procedures and settlement documents.

The implementation of support for poor and near-poor households whose income is affected by natural disasters is a humane policy of the province, contributing to spreading the spirit of sharing and accompanying people to overcome difficulties, creating a positive effect in the community and society with the spirit of "no one is left behind".
