(HBĐT) - On the afternoon of October 4, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - the Management Board of the "For the Poor" Fund of the province held a meeting to report the results of mobilizing, managing and using the "For the Poor" Fund and social security work, from September 2022 to September 2023; the plan to mobilize the peak month "For the Poor" in 2023.
Conference overview
From September 2022 to now, 260 units inside and outside the province have supported the "For the Poor" fund with an amount of more than 23,600 million VND. The fund management board has allocated nearly 21,500 million VND to build 387 new houses; support gifts for poor households; support scholarships for poor students. The fund raising work compared to the same period last year increased by more than 13 billion VND.
The provincial fund management board has proactively developed a plan to report to the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the plan and organization, enhanced innovation in propaganda work, and carefully prepared the launch content. The fund mobilized the participation of agencies, units, and people of all walks of life. The evaluation of the construction of "Great Unity" houses and other forms of support are guaranteed according to regulations.
The conference agreed to implement the plan for the "For the Poor" Peak Month in 2023, with the mobilization period from October 17 to November 18, 2023. According to statistics, the whole province currently has more than 27,000 poor households, accounting for 12.29% of the population; poor households are in need of attention and support in housing, capital assistance, and production seeds to stabilize their lives.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee is the standing agency of the Fund Management Board, which regularly updates information on the public donation amount on the Provincial Radio and Television Station and Hoa Binh Newspaper; money is monitored and transferred to the fund account (at the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development or the State Treasury); the increased interest is added to the fund to organize activities; all revenues and expenditures are transparent and comply with the State's financial and accounting regime; periodically report the results of fund mobilization and use to superiors; implement the meeting regime and issue documents on fund management and use to ensure compliance with regulations, and prevent errors and negativity.
