From June 1-2, districts and cities in the province will implement the first phase of micronutrient day in 2023, supplementing vitamin A for children aged 6-35 months in the area.

The provincial Center for Disease Control has distributed 119,000 vitamin A tablets to districts, cities and Thai Binh Children's Hospital. Along with taking vitamin A, children are weighed and measured for height to assess the rate of malnutrition, including underweight, stunting, overweight and obesity.
Vitamin A plays an important role in the health and comprehensive development of children. Every year, together with other provinces and cities, Thai Binh effectively implements a vitamin A supplementation campaign.
In addition to supplementing vitamin A according to instructions, to prevent micronutrient deficiencies in children, the health sector recommends that families diversify their daily meals; choose and use foods fortified with micronutrients, rich in micronutrients available locally.
