The Ministry of Finance has sent a document to the Prime Minister requesting consideration and decision on the investment policy of a high-end complex tourism service project in Van Don Economic Zone (Van Don casino) with a total investment capital of more than 2 billion USD, land use scale of about 244 hectares, and project operation period of no more than 70 years from the date of investor approval.

The Ministry of Finance also proposed that the Prime Minister approve the pilot project to allow Vietnamese people to play in casinos according to the direction of the Politburo . The pilot period and casino business conditions will be implemented according to the law on casino business.
Regarding the selection of investors for Van Don casino, the Ministry of Finance submitted to the Prime Minister to assign the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province to determine the appropriate form of project investor selection, ensuring compliance with the laws on investment, land, bidding and other relevant regulations.
The Ministry of Finance has submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration the investment policy of the high-end complex tourism service area in Van Don economic zone for the second time (Illustration photo).
The project's objective is to invest in building a high-end tourism, resort, and entertainment complex, an attractive world destination with main activities including casino business, real estate, hotel services, resort villas, resorts...
Construction progress shall not exceed 9 years from the date the investor is allocated land or leased land to implement the project.
