The delegation supervised dengue fever prevention and control activities; expanded immunization program; vaccine usage; and evaluated activities under the infectious disease prevention and control program in the locality.
In addition, the delegation also conducted field inspections at households with many dengue fever cases, assessed the mosquito larvae index at high-risk locations, and inspected the implementation of disease prevention and control measures at health stations as well as the coordination of local authorities.
According to the representative of the CDC Dong Nai monitoring team, the inspection results showed that many larvae still exist in domestic water containers, potted plants and areas around people's houses. These are high-risk factors that can cause the disease to continue to spread if not thoroughly handled.
The delegation requested that medical facilities increase coordination with local authorities to propagate and mobilize people to proactively clean the environment, remove unnecessary water containers, and regularly kill mosquito larvae, contributing to protecting their own health and that of the community.
According to the report of CDC Dong Nai, from the beginning of 2025 to July 17, Dong Phu area (including Tan Loi commune and Dong Phu commune) recorded 589 cases of dengue fever, including 1 death. Dong Phu commune alone had 443 cases of dengue fever, mainly concentrated in the hamlets: Minh Tan, Thai Dung, Minh Hoa, hamlet 9, Bau Ke...
