Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan appointed as Assistant Minister of Public Security

Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 399/QD-TTg appointing the assistant to Politburo member and Minister of Public Security.

According to this decision, the Prime Minister appointed Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Director of the Department of Party and Political Work, Ministry of Public Security, to hold the position of assistant to General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security.

The Decision takes effect from February 25, 2025.

During his career, Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan has held many different positions such as Chief of Nam Dinh City Police (Nam Dinh province), Deputy Director of Nam Dinh Provincial Police, Director of the People's Public Security Political Staff Department (Ministry of Public Security).

In July 2018, he was appointed as Director of Cao Bang Provincial Police. In 2020, he was transferred to work as Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs (Ministry of Public Security).
