Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia: Ho Chi Minh City needs breakthrough solutions in culture and human development

Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia believes that Ho Chi Minh City will continue to research, propose and contribute breakthrough, clarifying and highly creative solutions to develop culture, society and build people in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general.

On October 16, the Working Group 3 of the Central Steering Committee for Summary worked with Ho Chi Minh City on the practical implementation of work in the fields of culture - society and human development to serve the work of summarizing 40 years of implementing the renovation process in the direction of socialism.

The working session was chaired by comrades: Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Tran Hong Ha, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister.

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha highly appreciated the achievements of Ho Chi Minh City in the process of socio-cultural development and human development. At the same time, he emphasized that the summary in Ho Chi Minh City is the most important, the place to fully, comprehensively and ahead of the whole country. From there, it contributes significantly to the summary of our Party's theory on the development process, ideology, thinking on building a socialist state, including the issue of theory, thinking, ideology in socio-cultural development and human development.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that Ho Chi Minh City has always been at the forefront of implementing socio-economic policies and has contributed many lessons, experiences and new solutions that have been applied nationwide. From there, it has contributed to the improvement of theories and policies. The Central Government has high expectations for Ho Chi Minh City in this regard and hopes that Ho Chi Minh City will continue to study in depth a number of international mechanisms and policies.

Recalling the story of the “shirt” that was too tight for Ho Chi Minh City, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged that the mechanisms and policies for Ho Chi Minh City were behind the reality and too narrow, including the mechanisms and policies for cultural and social development and human development. From there, the Deputy Prime Minister hoped that Ho Chi Minh City would soon identify and propose breakthrough solutions to remove bottlenecks and challenges now and in the future.

Regarding the opinion that Ho Chi Minh City is a cultural convergence place of 54 ethnic groups, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that this is an advantage, an opportunity and a very prominent point of Ho Chi Minh City.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia mentioned national character, democracy, humanity; respecting differences for the benefit of the nation, people, country, and different people to maintain humanity and Vietnamese values. This is a great viewpoint for innovation and creation of science and technology associated with innovation. Therefore, he noted that in the coming time, it is necessary to raise this issue in the development of culture - society and human development.

Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that developing culture, society and building Vietnamese people is a major, unified and consistent policy of our Party. In his speeches, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong always deeply expressed this policy.

Therefore, the Head of the Central Propaganda Department suggested continuing to thoroughly grasp that spirit, the harmonious relationship between economy, culture, society, and people. At the same time, the working delegation, together with Ho Chi Minh City, continued to research to constantly innovate thinking, gain deeper awareness of the meaning and importance of the fields of culture, society, and people in building, developing the country and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

Along with that, Ho Chi Minh City continues to think, research, propose, and contribute breakthrough, clarifying, and highly creative solutions to develop culture, society, and build people in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia especially emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City is with the whole country, the whole country is with Ho Chi Minh City. From there, he believes that Ho Chi Minh City will have breakthrough solutions in culture - society and human development to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
