University speaks out about Miss Ý Nhi's educational path

(Dan Tri) - Y Nhi, Vietnam's representative, stopped at the top 40 in the Miss World 2025 final. She studied at a university that "owns" many beauty queens and runners-up.

On the evening of May 31, the Fanpage of International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University) posted information congratulating student Huynh Tran Y Nhi for making it into the top 40 at the final night of Miss World 2025.

This information has attracted the attention of many people as the university journey of beauty queens has been noticed recently.

Especially the case of Y Nhi - who is quite secretive about her education. On social networks, there were rumors that she had stopped going to university.

According to information from the International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University), student Huynh Tran Y Nhi is studying the 2+2 joint program in business administration between the International University and the University of Sydney, Australia.

Y Nhi has completed the Vietnamese program and transferred to the partner school to continue the study program as planned from the first day of school.

The school representative shared that when she first enrolled, Nhi's English did not meet the requirements to enter the specialized program. Therefore, in the first semester, Nhi was placed in the intensive English program.

After a while, Nhi was able to keep up with her studies and meet the requirements, her grades were among the good and excellent students in the department. At the same time, Nhi had a very good profile because she actively participated in many movement activities, clubs and teams.

With this profile, Nhi was awarded a 20% scholarship (about more than 310 million VND) of tuition fees for phase 2 when studying at the University of Sydney.

Huynh Tran Y Nhi, born in 2002, won the crown of Miss World Vietnam 2023. Before becoming Miss World Vietnam 2023, the beauty had won a number of domestic beauty awards.

International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University) is considered the first public university in the country to teach entirely in English. This is also the university with many students who have won beauty queen and runner-up titles in beauty contests.

In addition to Y Nhi, there are Nguyen Lam Diem Trang, a former student of the business administration department, who won the second runner-up title at the Miss Vietnam 2014 contest; and former student Bui Ai Lien, a business administration department student, who was crowned the runner-up title at Miss Asian Global 2018.

Recently, Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, also a student of the business administration faculty in a joint program with the University of Sydney, won the title of 1st runner-up at Miss World Vietnam 2022 and Miss Intercontinental 2022.
