Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education receives Binh Phuoc College

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education has received public assets from Binh Phuoc College to officially operate its branch in this locality.

On the afternoon of March 5, at the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province, a handover ceremony took place, receiving public assets from Binh Phuoc College (under the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province) to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.

The handover signing ceremony is to implement Decision No. 511/QD-BTC dated February 28, 2025 of the Ministry of Finance on the transfer of assets such as houses, land and other assets from Binh Phuoc College to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education (under the Ministry of Education and Training) for management and use.

Binh Phuoc College hands over public assets to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education

At the ceremony, Dr. Truong Thi Hien, Chairwoman of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, said that receiving public assets from Binh Phuoc College will help the school have more branches in the province, improve teaching conditions, research and develop new training programs, and meet the increasing demands of the labor market in the region. The school will speed up related legal procedures to organize enrollment and teaching in Binh Phuoc province in the coming school year.

After receiving public assets, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education plans to enroll students at this facility next school year.

Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh, Vice Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee, said that this handover demonstrates the province's commitment to supportingeducational institutions to improve teaching quality, creating the best conditions for generations of students to develop their talents and contribute to the overall development of the province. This is also part of the province's university education system development program, aiming to improve the quality of training and scientific research.

Previously, on October 3, 2024, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education signed a cooperation agreement for the 2024-2027 period.

According to the cooperation agreement between the two parties, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education Branch will use all facilities and equipment of Binh Phuoc College and new facilities and equipment invested and built by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education. The estimated capital for implementation is 264 billion VND.

On December 26, 2024, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son signed a decision approving the policy of establishing a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education in Binh Phuoc province.
