According to Associate Professor Dr. Cao Hung Phi, Principal of Vinh Long University of Technical Education, over the past years, Vinh Long University of Technical Education has focused on promoting technological innovation, investing in many new equipment to have better measures in controlling incidents, improving environmental conditions in activities at the unit. The school's environmental protection work has become systematic and continuous for many years.
Vinh Long University of Technology Education is the first unit in the Mekong Delta to use Green Energy.
The highlight in recent times is that many groups and individuals of the School have achieved many achievements in environmental protection work, such as: The Faculty of Applied Biological Sciences has been invested by the School in wastewater and exhaust gas treatment systems in laboratories, contributing effectively to the treatment of chemicals and exhaust gas from teaching and scientific research activities of lecturers and students in the School.
Currently, the wastewater and exhaust gas treatment system has been upgraded and newly equipped with a capacity of 24 m3/day and night. The treated water meets the standards according to QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT. The wastewater and exhaust gas treatment system contributes to minimizing hazardous waste affecting the soil, water and air environment. In addition, the system is also an effective teaching model in educating environmental protection awareness for students of the whole school.
The smart irrigation control system applied in the agricultural sector is built and controlled automatically with equipment control modules such as: lights, exhaust fans and air conditioners, drip irrigation systems, solar power systems, etc. The functions are controlled remotely via voice-integrated smartphones, contributing to reducing costs and care time, labor thanks to the ability to automatically schedule. On the other hand, the application of technology in controlling the temperature and humidity of the environment helps the system save the amount of irrigation water from the environment, ensuring that plants grow with the right amount of water, saving and limiting the wasteful use of water resources in the dry season.

The application of information technology brings great efficiency in minimizing environmental impacts. One of the prominent issues affecting the environment today is the appearance of industrial waste increasing every year. By building a computer system applying cloud computing technology at the School, the use of many electronic components is minimized, contributing to protecting the living environment.

The important thing is that Vinh Long University of Technology and Education does not discharge hazardous wastewater into the environment. At the same time, it reduces costs and saves the school's investment funds in recent years. Vinh Long University of Technology and Education always complies with the law in controlling and minimizing environmental pollution and saving energy.

Along with that, the application of cloud computing technology and the construction of private clouds to deploy virtual resource allocation services, virtual practice rooms and online training bring great efficiency in saving costs while being environmentally friendly. Significantly reduce the cost of purchasing equipment for the school (cost of purchasing computers, cost of electricity consumption, computer room infrastructure, software copyright ...).
