Van Hien University organizes a fundraising run to help disadvantaged students

Within the framework of a series of events celebrating its 26th anniversary, Van Hien University organized the "VHU Run 2023 - Code to Connect" Running Race to create connection between teachers and students, help improve the spirit of sports training, and join hands to raise funds to help students in difficult circumstances.

The running race "VHU Run 2023 - Code to Connect" not only has the meaning of connection, but also raises funds to help students in difficult circumstances.

On the morning of June 23, at HungHau Campus (Binh Chanh), more than 600 staff, lecturers and students of Van Hien University actively participated in the cross-country race "VHU Run 2023 - Code to Connect".

“VHU Run 2023 – Code to Connect” is the first running competition organized by Van Hien University. With the desire to create many activities connecting students with businesses, schools, friends, teachers... contributing to a better life.

The race consists of two distances of 5km and 10km. This is not only a simple sports activity, the race also carries the spiritual meaning of "Steps for the community". Accordingly, each kilometer run, each athlete contributed 20,000 VND to raise funds to help disadvantaged students in the area. At the end of the race, the total amount of funds raised was 100 million VND.

According to Mr. Tran Anh Dung, Permanent Vice President of Van Hien University, “VHU Run 2023 – Code to Connect” has many humanistic meanings. Through these series of activities, the school hopesto educate students to study and develop according to the school’s educational philosophy “Becoming a Person before Becoming a Fame”.
