The only school in Nghe An received the Prime Minister's commendation

Small school, big aspirations

On a chilly morning, the yard of Thanh Chuong 3 High School (Cat Ngan Commune, Nghe An Province) was filled with laughter. The Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit was hung solemnly in the traditional house - a noble award marking the persistent efforts of teachers and students in a land of many difficulties. Few people expected that the school located in the middle of a poor countryside would become a national model in the movement "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in 2025. This is also the only school in Nghe An Province to receive this honor.

“Receiving the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister is a great honor for the school. This is not only a recognition of our persistent efforts over the years, but also a responsibility for us to continue to preserve and promote the good values we have built,” said Mr. Le Van Quyen, Principal of Thanh Chuong 3 High School.

Located in a semi-mountainous area, teaching and learning conditions are still difficult. Over the years, teachers and students of Thanh Chuong 3 High School have constantly made efforts and strived. What the teachers here have preserved for many years is the exemplary spirit of a teacher, perseverance, responsibility, and love for students "like their own children", just as Uncle Ho taught.

The school always considers learning and following Uncle Ho not a slogan, but a journey to build personality, morality and intelligence for each cadre, teacher and student. Linking learning and following Uncle Ho with teaching innovation, improving education quality and comprehensive development.

On behalf of the President, Mr. Nguyen Nam Dinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Council awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to Thanh Chuong 3 High School.

In recent years, the movement "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" has been materialized through many practical models such as "Good study hours", "Good deeds", etc. Teachers are responsible and dedicated to their profession; students are honest, polite and know how to share more.

“Throughout the implementation process, I have seen a clear change in teachers and students. Many models and innovative teaching initiatives have been born, and many outstanding examples have emerged. The teaching environment is increasingly friendly, disciplined and humane,” said Mr. Quyen.

Half a century of miracles

Thanh Chuong 3 High School was established in 1975, right after the country achieved peace and reunification. From the bamboo and thatch classrooms in the poor countryside of Phong Thinh commune (now Cat Ngan commune), with the will, efforts and aspirations of teachers and students of many generations, along with the support and assistance of Party committees and authorities at all levels; to this day, the school has become majestic and spacious in terms of facilities, especially in the quality of teaching and learning, and is an educational institution with comprehensive development in the high school education system of Nghe An province.

Authorized by the Prime Minister, Mr. Nguyen Nam Dinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Council awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the Party Committee of Thanh Chuong 3 High School for its outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.

The school was recognized as meeting national standards level 2 in 2022. Not only moral education, the quality of teaching and learning at the school is also a bright spot. For many consecutive years, it has maintained the title of an excellent advanced school; the graduation rate of students is 100%. The quality of the spearhead is among the top in the province's high school level. In the 2025 high school graduation exam alone, the school had 2 students with high scores, commended by the People's Committee of Nghe An province and were valedictorians of top universities.

2025 is also the year Thanh Chuong 3 High School celebrates the 50th anniversary of its founding, receiving the Third Class Labor Medal (for the second time), a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for its outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; along with many Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and other sectors and levels. This is not only a reward but also a motivation for the school to continue writing a kind and sustainable journey in new stages.

Students of Thanh Chuong 3 High School were awarded certificates of merit by the People's Committee of Nghe An province at the ceremony to honor students who won international and national prizes and students with high scores in the National High School Graduation Exam.

To make studying and following Uncle Ho not a formality, according to Mr. Quyen, the most important thing is to set an example and be self-aware. Each cadre and teacher must truly live and work in Uncle Ho's spirit - talk less, do more, be dedicated, honest, and benevolent. The school always focuses on turning Uncle Ho's teachings into concrete actions, linked to each movement and daily activity, so that studying and following Uncle Ho becomes a natural part of school life.

“Learning and following Uncle Ho is not a big thing, but it starts with good deeds, small but persistent efforts every day. It is love, faith and dedication that create good values and spread throughout the school,” Mr. Quyen shared.

Thanh Chuong 3 High School held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of Education and Training and open the 2025-2026 school year.

With a long list of achievements that not every school in rural areas can achieve.
