Nguyen Van An Secondary School: Honored to receive the flag "Excellent unit in the emulation movement, school year 2023-2024" from the Government

Nguyen Van An Secondary School was established in 1993, recognized as a national standard school level 1 in May 2018 and achieved level 2education quality standards.

The school currently has 35 administrators and teachers; 15 classes and 637 students. The school's facilities are relatively adequate to serve teaching and learning activities, ensuring good implementation of comprehensive educational activities.

Carrying out the tasks of the 2023-2024 school year, the staff and teachers of Nguyen Van An Secondary School have made many efforts, strived and effectively applied information technology in management, teaching and learning, achieving and exceeding the emulation criteria launched by the industry, especially the emulation movement "Building a friendly school, active students and promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style".

At the same time, the school focuses on training 9th grade students to achieve high results in district and provincial excellent student competitions and tutoring weak students, with feasible solutions contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the school had 635/637 students achieving average or above, reaching 99.7%, exceeding 1.7% compared to the registration at the beginning of the year; of which, 456/637 students achieved good or excellent academic performance, accounting for 71.6%; 157/157 grade 9 students were recognized as completing the junior high school program, reaching 100%; grades 6, 7, 8 had a rate of students moving straight to the next grade of 96.3%, an increase of 6.3% compared to the registration at the beginning of the school year.

Regarding training efficiency, the school has 179 students entering grade 6 and 157 students graduating grade 9, reaching 87.7% (according to regulations, it is 87%), with 2/637 students dropping out of school, accounting for 0.31% (regulations are no more than 0.5%).

Last school year, the school had 10 excellent students at the district level; won 3 collective prizes and 12 individual prizes at the Phu Dong Sports Festival; 1 Third Prize and 1 Encouragement Prize for Science and Technology; 1 Second Prize for Excellent Team Commander; 1 Second Prize and 1 Third Prize for Song of the Lark; 1 First Prize for Painting and 1 Encouragement Prize for the District-level Team Rituals Competition.

At provincial competitions, the school won 2 third prizes and 1 encouragement prize for excellent students in Civic Education; 12 third prizes in traditional martial arts, 1 first prize in Taekwondo, 2 second prizes in athletics and 2 third prizes in women's volleyball at the Phu Dong Sports Festival at the provincial level; 1 second prize and 2 third prizes in painting and 1 third prize in the provincial Science and Technology Competition. Notably, the school had 1 student win third prize in athletics at the national level.

The school is always united and internally united; 35/35 (100%) of staff and teachers completed their tasks in the 2023-2024 school year, achieving the title of advanced worker or higher; 29 teachers achieved excellent teachers at the school level, 5 teachers achieved the district-level teaching competition and 2 teachers achieved the provincial-level teaching competition. The school's teachers have 11 topics and initiatives recognized by the district-level Science Council, meeting and exceeding the target compared to the previous school year.

In addition, the school always does a good job of universalizing lower secondary education; effectively implements movements against social evils in schools, traffic safety, food safety... Effectively implements the socialization of education, mobilizes resources to contribute to taking care of and awarding scholarships and gifts to encourage learning and talent for students in difficult circumstances with nearly 233 million VND.

Recently, Nguyen Van An Secondary School was honored to receive the flag "Excellent Unit in the Emulation Movement for the 2023-2024 School Year" from the Government; Ms. Phan Thi Cam Thu - Music teacher, Mr. Lam Van Ty - Physical Education teacher of the school were also honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for their achievements in education and training from the 2019-2020 school year to the 2023-2024 school year, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland in the locality.
