Thoai Ngoc Hau High School for the Gifted held a thematic activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation Day.

On the morning of April 28, Thoai Ngoc Hau High School for the Gifted (Long Xuyen City) organized a meaningful thematic activity program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); to educate students about meaningful historical events.

At the propaganda session, many exciting and meaningful activities took place, such as: Organizing propaganda about the history and significance of the day of Southern Liberation and National Reunification; learning about the origin of the song "As if Uncle Ho were here on the great victory day" by musician Pham Tuyen; organizing the "Propaganda of revolutionary school songs" contest. The entire Board of Directors, teachers and students performed the song "As if Uncle Ho were here on the great victory day" to ignite national pride in celebrating the Day of Southern Liberation and National Reunification on April 30, 1975.

Along with that, teachers and students watched the short documentary "Liberating the South and Unifying the Country", recording authentic and touching images of the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign - the last campaign of the resistance war against the US to save the country, ending with a great victory in the spring of 1975, opening an era of independence, peace and development for our nation.

Principal of Thoai Ngoc Hau High School for the Gifted Dang Thi Kim Phuong said that through the program, teachers and students of the school have the opportunity to review traditions, listen to stories about the stature, value, and great historical significance of the resistance war against the US to save the country. At the same time,it educates students about historical knowledge, traditional culture; educates patriotism for the younger generation, on the occasion of celebrating the country's major holidays. Through that, the generation of students will engrave national pride, follow the example of their fathers and brothers, strive to study, practice morality, develop themselves and always nurture the aspiration to build the country.
