Xuan Giang High School helps students confidently enter the graduation exam

BHG - The 2025 High School Graduation Exam is only a few weeks away. In order to help 12th graders consolidate their knowledge, practice their skills and prepare themselves mentally for the exam, Xuan Giang High School (Quang Binh) is promoting review work.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Xuan Giang High School (Quang Binh) has 7 12th grade classes with 202 students. To prepare well for this year's High School Graduation Exam, from the beginning of the second semester, the school has developed a systematic review plan for each specific time.

Accordingly, from the beginning of March to the end of April, the school focuses on teaching the main subjects in the morning and reviewing in the afternoon with a frequency of 4 sessions per week. From the beginning of May until the exam date, students will review at school every morning from Monday to Friday. During this time, teachers will guide students to systematize basic knowledge from grades 10 to 12, practice test-taking skills, and practice exam questions. During the review process, the school always closely follows the instructions from the Ministry and the Departmentof Education and Training to help students have good knowledge preparation before the exam takes place.

Ms. Hoang Thi Xoan, Biology teacher, shared: “The structure of the Biology exam this year includes 3 parts: multiple choice, true or false, and short answer. This structure is new to teachers and difficult for students. Therefore, during the review process, I focus on helping students understand the nature of each lesson, master the content in the textbook, and encourage them to read more advanced books and online documents to improve their knowledge. At the same time, I guide students on how to do the test, and divide the test time in all 3 parts reasonably.”

As a teacher in charge of the subject of Economic and Legal Education, Ms. Nguyen Thi Muoi commented that this year's exam will require more and broader knowledge than previous years. Therefore, during the review process, she focused on consolidating knowledge from grades 10-12, requiring students to have a firm grasp of grade 12 knowledge; practicing many exam questions from different levels and provinces and creating mock exams for students to do in order to classify students, easily helping them review more thoroughly. During the exam practice process, Ms. Muoi also guided students on how to distinguish keywords and apply them to each problem to choose the correct answer.

In addition to focusing on in-class review, teachers also share effective learning methods with students, helping them have a clear and scientific review orientation and allocate time to review each subject reasonably, avoiding lopsided or scattered study. Tran Minh Quan, class 12C2 said: “Our teachers review our knowledge very carefully, guide us on how to solve exam questions and give us many useful tips to best prepare for the upcoming exam. As for me, in addition to in-class review time, I also spend time researching exam questions online, creating a specific schedule for each subject so that I can both review well and ensure my health for the upcoming exam.”

Mr. Pham Duc Thinh, Principal of Xuan Giang High School, said: Right from the beginning of the school year, the school has determined that exam preparation must be close to reality and adhere to the orientation of the Ministry and Department of Education and Training. Teachers in charge of the subject have carefully prepared knowledge and review methods, ensuring that students become more confident every day. With constant efforts, both teachers and students of the school are determined to achieve the best exam results.
