On March 18, a report from Huong Son Primary School (Lang Giang district, Bac Giang ) about a student being lured and kidnapped by a group of people was spread on social media.
According to the report, on the afternoon of March 17, student LNP (class 2H, Huong Son Primary School) was on his way home from school when he saw a white car parked. There was a man in the driver's seat and a woman got out of the car and gave P. a piece of jelly.
Because the teacher had previously reminded and warned P., he did not take the jelly and pushed her hand away. At this time, the woman asked P. where his house was so she could take him home, but he did not listen. While the two sides were struggling, a young man on a motorbike came and shouted, so the woman got in her car and left immediately.
Speaking with VietNamNet reporter, Nguyen Van Lang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Huong Son commune confirmed that Huong Son Primary School sent the above report to inform the local authorities.
According to Mr. Lang, verification showed that the above story was not authentic. Specifically, the story was told by P. to her grandmother, who then told it to the homeroom teacher of class 2H. The local authorities checked and found no signs of child kidnapping.
"Today, the school withdrew the report because the incident could not be verified. However, the speed of spread on social networks was too fast, causing confusion. The school has instructed teachers to increase reminders to students to ensure security and order in the area," said Mr. Lang.
