(CTTĐTBP) - On the morning of April 24, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Phuoc province solemnly held a ceremony to visit, pay tribute, bury the remains of martyrs and offer incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense , Deputy Head of the National Steering Committee 515; Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Huynh Thi Hang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tue Hien and members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, National Assembly Delegation of the province; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, organizations, armed forces and districts, towns and cities in the province; leaders of the National Steering Committee 515, Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 7, Army Corps 16, Warehouse K882.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegations respectfully offered flowers and incense to pay their respects and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs - those who are forever in their twenties, embracing their youthful dreams and aspirations into eternal rest, in exchange for the independence, freedom and peace of the Vietnamese people.
Reading the eulogy to commemorate the heroic martyrs, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tuyet Minh, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 515 said: In the second phase, phase XXIV (2024-2025), Team K72 of the Provincial Military Command searched and recovered 17 martyrs' remains, including 15 martyrs' remains in Loc Ninh district, 1 remains in Binh Long town and 1 remains in Bu Gia Map district. All 17 remains have not been identified. The relics found were only tanks, hammocks, weapons, antibiotic bottles, rubber sandals... During this search, 8 biological samples were obtained, lighting up hope for special reunions of the martyrs' families.
From 2002-2025, Team K72 has made great efforts to overcome many difficulties, searched for thousands of locations and recovered in the country and repatriated to Cambodia 3,874 remains of martyrs who died during different periods for burial at the provincial martyrs' cemetery (including 3,163 remains of martyrs collected in Cambodia and 711 remains of martyrs collected in the country). |
After the memorial service and offering of flowers and incense, the delegates escorted the remains of 17 martyrs to their resting place and performed the burial ceremony for the martyrs' remains.
