Participating in the drill, the dispatchers and mobile operation team practiced handling 4 hypothetical situations including: Simulating a loss of information connection from the entire 110kV transformer station to the Phu Yen Control Center due to a transmission line or equipment error. Simulating a steam relay incident at transformer T2 of the 110kV Song Cau station, leading to a power outage of the entire load. A situation when performing a power cut on the 110kV line 173/T220 Tuy Hoa - 171/T110 An My, at the same time, an incident occurred where circuit breakers F87L and F79 failed to trip on the 110kV line 171/T110 Dong Xuan - 174/T110 Song Cau 2, causing a power outage at the 110kV An My and Dong Xuan stations. The hypothetical situation of a transmission grid incident causing widespread power outages affects all 110kV stations in the province.
Through the drill, the team of dispatchers and control center team leaders improved their troubleshooting skills, created a professional style, practiced organization and coordination between related units, improved readiness in operating the power grid system, minimized damage caused by incidents and shortened power outage time for electricity customers.
