On the afternoon of May 22, at the Provincial Martyrs Cemetery, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held a memorial service and burial ceremony for Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who fought, served in combat, and heroically sacrificed during the war on the Cambodian battlefield.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Major General Doan Quang Hoa, Chief of Office of the National Steering Committee 515; Lieutenant General Trinh Dinh Thach, Political Commissar of Military Region V; Pham Minh Tan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Phu Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; H'Yim Kđoh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 515; Delegation of the government and armed forces of Mondulkiri province (Kingdom of Cambodia); and representatives of departments, branches, units, localities and people in the province.

In a solemn and dignified atmosphere, the remains of 27 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia were repatriated to their homeland. These remains were searched for and recovered by Team K51 (Provincial Military Command) during the dry season of 2023 - 2024 with the help and coordination of the government and people of Mondulkiri province. All 27 remains of martyrs are currently unidentified.

Reading the eulogy at the memorial and burial ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 515 H'Yim Kđoh affirmed: Our Party, State and people are very proud and infinitely grateful for the heroic fighting and noble sacrifices of previous generations of fathers and brothers and generations of revolutionary soldiers, the outstanding children of the Vietnamese people who devoted their youth, heroically fighting and sacrificing for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland and the noble spirit of international solidarity and friendship. Continuing the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the Vietnamese people, in recent years, the Party Committee, government, army and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province have well implemented the movement of "Repaying gratitude". Before the souls of the martyrs, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province promise to unite with one heart, determined to build the homeland more and more prosperous.

He also sincerely thanked the authorities, people and armed forces of Cambodia for their active cooperation and support in the search and collection of martyrs' remains; and hoped that the authorities and people of Cambodia would continue to promote cooperation and help Dak Lak province in the search for the graves of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in the coming time. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 515 H'Yim Kđoh also praised the great efforts of the officers and soldiers of Team K51, under the Provincial Military Command, in overcoming difficulties and hardships in the search and bringing the remains of 27 martyrs to rest in the motherland.

From 2001 to present, with the help of the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of Mondulkiri province (Kingdom of Cambodia), Dak Lak province has searched for, recovered and collected the remains of 719 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in the war in Cambodia during different periods and buried them at the provincial Martyrs' Cemetery.
