Therefore, people can continue to use the previously issued health insurance card or the citizen identification card (CCCD) with chip or VNeID level 2 application, VssID application to present when examining and treating health insurance.

Dong Nai Social Insurance only issues new paper health insurance cards for cases that cannot install VssID, VNelD applications and do not have a chip-embedded CCCD. Other cases that have difficulties or problems in the process of installing the VssID application, please contact the Social Insurance agency for instructions and support.

The provincial Social Insurance Department recommends that medical examination and treatment facilities do not require patients to present a paper health insurance card when they have presented a chip-embedded ID card or presented an image of the health insurance card on the VNeID and VssID applications in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health .

To avoid interruption of benefits when participating in health examination and treatment under health insurance, the provincial Social Insurance leaders recommend that people install the VssID or VNeID application on their smartphones. Link health insurance information with CCCD to ensure data synchronization.

Not printing paper health insurance cards is one of the contents to promote digital transformation, helping to simplify medical examination and treatment procedures, saving costs and time for both management agencies and people.

To date, the province has nearly 2.9 million people participating in health insurance. Health insurance participants enjoy full benefits when examining and treating patients according to the law. Among them, there are many rare and serious diseases that are paid a huge amount of money by the health insurance fund.
