At the training course, staff from Lao Cai City Health Center shared some contents such as: Some legal documents and policies for the elderly; some psychological issues for the elderly; health care for the elderly, prevention of some non-communicable diseases; some rehabilitation exercises for the elderly and the content of the health care plan orientation for the period 2026 - 2030.
Health check-up activities for the elderly in the community are being implemented by Lao Cai City Medical Center.
Training activities aim to improve the capacity of medical staff to provide consultation and health examination for the elderly, helping the elderly improve their physical and mental health, longevity, and quality of life, contributing to improving the health of the elderly to adapt to population aging in line with the socio-economic development of the city.
Caring for the elderly means taking care of their spiritual and material lives to meet their basic needs for food, clothing, housing, transportation, health care, and their needs for entertainment, recreation, information, communication, and learning.
People with the obligation and right to support the elderly are the children and grandchildren of the elderly and other people who have the obligation to raise and provide for them according to the provisions of the law on marriage and family.
People with the obligation and right to care for the elderly, depending on specific circumstances, must arrange accommodation suitable to the health and psychological conditions of the elderly; provide economic support; pay for treatment costs and medical care when the elderly are sick; and bury the elderly when they die.
People with the obligation and right to support the elderly must cooperate together in supporting the elderly.
