Grateful to the previous generation

Today's young generation is fortunate to be born and raised in a peaceful country, but we cannot forget that this peace is the result of the blood and sacrifice of our soldiers, combatants and people during the fierce years of war.

Comrade Dao Thi Thanh Tuyen, Secretary of the Dinh Hoa District Youth Union, said: As a member of the Youth Union, I am deeply aware of my responsibility in preserving and promoting the achievements of the revolution. April 30 is not only an occasion to remember the past, but also a time for us, the young people, to express our patriotism, solidarity and dedication to the cause of building an increasingly developed country. For me, April 30 is always a reminder of the responsibilities and obligations that the younger generation needs to continue.

Looking back at history, the younger generation not only feels the sacrifices of heroes, but also understands that the free and peaceful life we ​​have today is built on the foundation of unity and unbreakable spiritual strength.

Stories about heroic soldiers, mothers who lost their children, and families who lost their lives in the war still resonate, serving as an endless source of inspiration, empowering the younger generation to live a life worthy of those sacrifices.

Pride and desire to contribute

April 30 is not only an occasion for the young generation to remember the past, but also a reminder of the responsibility and mission of building the country in times of peace. The fight to protect independence, sovereignty and develop the country in times of peace plays an extremely important role. The young generation, with enthusiasm and a desire to contribute, needs to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors, promote the spirit of patriotism, solidarity and creativity to contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Lieutenant Nguyen Ngoc Dung, a typical young face of Thai Nguyen Provincial Police, who was honored by the Ministry of Public Security in 2024, said: For me, the anniversary of the country's reunification is not only an opportunity to look back on the heroic history of the nation, but also a moment for us to be proud of the contributions of the police force in protecting security and order and maintaining peace for the country. As a police officer, I am always clearly aware that today is thanks to the sacrifices and hardships of previous generations. Therefore, I am even more determined to fulfill my duties well, contributing to maintaining peace, building an increasingly developed society, worthy of what our ancestors sacrificed for the Fatherland.

Every youth union member and every young person can contribute to the country through practical actions, from studying and training themselves to participating in community activities, protecting security and order, and developing the economy, culture and society.

We are not only the ones who inherit the achievements of our ancestors, but also the ones who hold the future of the country, so we need to always be aware and make constant efforts.

Comrade Duong Thi Thu Ha, Secretary of the Youth Union of Factory Z115 (under the General Department of Defense Industry), said: We are always aware of our role in creating products serving national defense and protecting the country. Although we may not directly hold guns on the battlefield, our work also contributes significantly to protecting national security, ensuring the stability and development of the country in peacetime, which is also the motivation for us to strive to work and innovate every day...

We are living in a developed country, integrating with the world, but that does not mean we forget the valuable lessons of history. Patriotism, national pride, and the desire to build an increasingly prosperous country are still great motivations in the hearts of every young Vietnamese person.
