Warming the hearts of workers from 'Union Meals'

Workers at Hadanbi Vina Co., Ltd. (Diem Thuy Industrial Park) are happy with the "Union Meal".

At Hadanbi Vina Co., Ltd. (Diem Thuy Industrial Park), the newly organized “Union Meal” program attracted the participation of nearly 1,400 workers. Each meal for workers on a normal day was 27,000 VND, which was increased to 35,000 VND, including a variety of nutritious dishes, accompanied by yogurt and fruit for dessert.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet, a company employee, shared: Attending the “Union Meal”, I felt warm and excited. Through that, we felt the care of the Company and the Union from the simple things. This is also a motivation for us to continue to work enthusiastically, striving to complete the production plan.

Ms. Vi Thi Sen, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Hadanbi Vina Co., Ltd., shared: As a unit specializing in assembling phone components, the Company currently creates stable jobs for 1,400 workers with an average income of 7 million VND/person/month. Every month, the Company organizes a special meal for workers, in addition to the main dishes, there will be an additional meat dish or fresh milk, yogurt, and soft drinks.

During Workers’ Month, workers will have two special meals like this. Along with that, the Company always cares about the lives of workers, regularly organizes cultural, artistic and sports activities to create a useful playground and connect workers.

At Jukwang Precision Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Diem Thuy Industrial Park), a “Union Meal” was also prepared for workers, with a rich menu including pork, chicken, beef, fish, vegetables, fruits and yogurt for dessert. Each meal costs 37,000 VND, an increase of 12,000 VND compared to normal days.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Kieu, Chairwoman of the Company's Trade Union, said: "The annual "Union Meal" is an opportunity for the Company's Board of Directors and the Executive Board of the Trade Union to meet, learn about the thoughts and aspirations of employees, and create a bond between employees and the unit. Not only that, we have advised the company's leaders to build a friendly working environment, where everyone contributes and develops together.

The Company fully implements policies and regimes related to employees such as: Social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, maternity, sick leave, holidays, Tet, etc. Currently, the unit creates stable jobs for 650 employees with an average income of 9-10 million VND/person/month. The majority of employees are confident in sticking with the company.

In recent years, “Union Meals” have become a practical and meaningful activity, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of workers. Business representatives, union presidents and workers sit down to eat together, creating a close connection, understanding and sympathy. Thanks to that, it is possible to promptly grasp arising problems, propose appropriate support solutions, and promptly adjust policies to care for workers’ lives. At the same time, it creates trust and attachment between union members and workers towards the union organization and the business, contributing to the successful completion of production and business tasks.
