The opening ceremony of the Film Week will be held on the afternoon of December 2 at the Lao National Palace of Culture. Six films will be screened at two locations, including the Lao National Palace of Culture and Patuxay Square.
The opening screening of the Film Week is the documentary "President Kaysone Phomvihane with Vietnam", produced by the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio. The film depicts the life, career and close relationship of President Kaysone Phomvihane with Vietnam.

The films introduced include the feature film "Red Rain" by People's Army Cinema, directed by Dang Thai Huyen, adapted from the novel by writer Chu Lai, set during the 81 days and nights of defending Quang Tri Citadel in 1972.
The film “Two Mothers” by Vietnam Feature Film Studio, directed by Nguyen Khac Loi, tells about the friendship and sacrifice of the Vietnamese and Lao peoples during the Indochina War.
The film "Death Battle in the Air", produced by People's Police Cinema and Thien Ngan Film Joint Stock Company, directed by Ham Tran, recreates the hijacking of flight HVN-137 in 1977.
The film “Tunnels - Sun in the Dark” by Hoan Khue Film Production Joint Stock Company, directed by Bui Thac Chuyen, tells the story of the guerrilla team at Binh An Dong base in 1967 during the Cedar Falls campaign.
The film “I see yellow flowers on the green grass” was ordered by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and produced by Thien Ngan Film Joint Stock Company, directed by Victor Vu, bringing a touching story about childhood, brotherhood and memories of the Central countryside in the late 1980s.
The Vietnamese Film Week in Laos 2025 is expected to bring to the audience works of artistic value, expressing the depth of Vietnamese history, culture and people, helping the Lao public better understand the country and people of Vietnam.
Within the framework of the program, after some screenings, the audience will have the opportunity to interact with the film crew.
