The film week to celebrate the 24th Vietnam Film Festival is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned to the Department of Cinema, in coordination with the National Cinema Center, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak and related units; and is implemented by the Department of Culture and Sports, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of provinces and cities and related organizations and individuals.

The film “Red Rain” is a film about revolutionary war, produced by the People’s Army Cinema, directed by Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen. The film tells the story of the 81-day and night battle to protect Quang Tri Citadel by brave soldiers, using modern, emotional and thoughtful cinematic language.
The film caused a stir when it premiered on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, and currently holds the record for the Vietnamese film with the highest box office revenue of all time.
Besides the film “Red Rain”, the Film Week welcoming the 24th Vietnam Film Festival also screened the films: “Moon of Childhood”, “Peach, Pho and Piano”, “Scent of Burning Grass”, “Hong Ha Nu Si”, “Red Dawn”, “Jasmine”, “I See Yellow Flowers on Green Grass”, “ Hanoi 12 Days and Nights”, “Prophet”…
In addition to film screenings, within the framework of the Film Week to celebrate the 24th Vietnam Film Festival, there will be exchange activities with film crews in 6 provinces and cities including: Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Quang Tri, Da Nang, Dak Lak, and Can Tho.
